This next ancient deception is a multi-headed Hydra. It is an antichrist beast that manifests in multiple forms. Gnostic, esoteric, mysticism, new age, christ-consciousness, occult. The root of this deception is always centered on human ascension. Human advancement through human intellect and ability. The lie that humanity can join together and create a utopia on earth in our own united efforts.

  • Genesis 11:1-5 (ESV) The Tower of Babel 11 Now the whole earth had one language and the same words. 2 And as people migrated from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there. 3 And they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks, and burn them thoroughly.” And they had brick for stone, and bitumen for mortar. 4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth.” 5 And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of man had built.

  • Genesis 10:8-12 8 Cush fathered Nimrod; he was the first on earth to be a mighty man. 9 He was a mighty hunter before the Lord. Therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before the Lord.” 10 The beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. 11 From that land he went into Assyria and built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah, and 12 Resen between Nineveh and Calah; that is the great city.

The word occult derives from the Latin adjective occultus, meaning “hidden” or “concealed.” In medieval Europe, thinkers influenced by Aristotelian thought drew a distinction between the directly observable qualities of objects, such as their color or shape, and their "qualitates occultae" (occult qualities), hidden properties not directly observable by the human eye. Some background on Aristotelianism:

  1. Aristotelianism set the groundwork for the development of modern science. Aristotelianism is a philosophical tradition inspired by the work of Aristotle. Aristotle was trained in Plato's Academy for 23 years, studying philosophy, natural science, linguistics, economics, politics, psychology, and the arts.

  2. Aristotelianism is characterized by deductive logic and an analytic inductive method in the study of natural philosophy and metaphysics. It covers the treatment of the social sciences under a system of natural law. Aristotle and his school wrote tractates on physics, biology, metaphysics, logic, ethics, aesthetics, poetry, theatre, music, rhetoric, psychology, linguistics, economics, politics, and government.

  3. In the Islamic Golden Age, philosophers translated the works of Aristotle into Arabic and under them, along with philosophers such as Al-Kindi and Al-Farabi, Aristotelianism became a major part of early Islamic philosophy. The Islamic Golden Age was a period of scientific, economic, and cultural flourishing in the history of Islam, traditionally dated from the 8th century to the 13th century.

  4. Aristotle believed that man was a political creature. It is from this notion of man that Aristotle declares that “every state exists by nature”, emerging as it does from the gradual expansion of human cohabitation and association—a “natural growth” insofar as “man is by nature a political animal” (Aristotle, 1986, 18). Any separation of man from politics was understood by Aristotle as deeply unnatural and a deviation from his function.

  5. Aristotle defines man’s end—"eudaimonia", or “human flourishing”—as virtuous activity in accordance with reason (see Aristotle, 1991a, I). In the context of the political community, man cannot flourish but within a collective, with the help of his fellow men to ensure his sustenance and provide a sphere in which to actualize his ethical disposition.

  6. Aristotle proposes that human intellect works in the service of the political, insofar as the aim of the state is to supply the context in which the community of men can attain eudaimonia.

  7. Aristotle's "Politics" is a foundational work of political philosophy written in the 4th century BC, exploring the nature of political communities, particularly the Greek city-state or polis.

The term "politics" itself derives from the Greek polis, meaning "city-state," and Aristotle's work is considered the origin of the modern concept. The Politics is structured into eight books, covering topics from the origins of the city and household to the analysis of different constitutions and regimes. Aristotle's approach is empirical and descriptive; he and his students collected data on 158 city-states to analyze their strengths and weaknesses, a method that contrasts with Plato's more idealistic approach.

  8. Friendship in Aristotle's political philosophy extends beyond the interpersonal relationship into the consideration paid by each citizen to the common good of all, for it is only through the flourishing of all that the individual can flourish. The most damning critique Aristotle lodges against wealth acquisition is its unjust nature: “the art of finance,” he states, “is justly blamed (for men make gain not according to nature but from each other), perverting the exchange relationship into one of frivolous greed and individual satisfaction.”

The Lord Wants me to bring this into contemporary focus. I had typed the rest of this post out... but have decided, due to length, to make a Part 3.

I have read some Karl Marx so that you don't have to, saints.

As you read Part 3 next, think about the progressive manifestation of these philosophies permeating civilization. The Lord is Gracious to Prepare His Church; Exposing prevalent deception in its current form. This is an ancient knowledge. A seductive knowledge. A knowledge that leads to death. The fruit of The Tree of Knowledge eaten in Eden. When mankind chose, when tempted, to rely on our own ability to reason, create, prosper, and advance... instead of relying on Yahweh. Thinking that humans could ascend to Heaven (create their own utopia Eden) in our own efforts.

In Jesus's name!
