Like a lotus flower
Analogy regarding God's prophetic word

In November 2024, I was praying and thanking The Lord for His Prophetic Word. Then I said, out of nowhere, "Your Prophetic Word is like a lotus flower." I am not interested in gardening, so I knew this did not originate in my own mind; that it was said under the unction of The Holy Spirit. The Lord does Speak to me like this at times. I have spontaneously sang original songs under the unction of The Holy Spirit, for example (and I have zero musical skill).
So, I asked The Lord "Why a lotus flower?"
And The Lord Told me to look up lotus flowers. Here is what He Showed me:
--Lotus flowers are one of the most prominent tokens in Eastern cultures. In Hinduism and Buddhism, they’re considered the most sacred flower. Hieroglyphics from Ancient Egypt depict the lotus flower alongside priests and pharaohs. * A caution here: these are pagan religions. The reason I include this is to show that even pagans recognize the uniqueness of a lotus flower. Lotus flowers themselves are not pagan, nor does God Intend them to be used as any type of talisman.
-- Lotus flowers are living fossils. According to secular science estimations, their existence stretches back some 145.5 million years. According to secular science, Lotus flowers survived the Ice Age (1.8 million – 10,000 years ago). The Ice Age was a time of great geological and ecological change. Most plants in the northern hemisphere became extinct during this era. Shout out to the Young Earth Creationists right here! I want to acknowledge the timelines given here are common for secular scientists and some Christians agree with this timeline, some do not. I used this data strictly to illustrate the long, dogged existance of lotus flowers.
--The durability of the lotus flower is a major contributor to its association with eternity. They can survive even for years under ice. However, lotus flowers can die, and sometimes do in natural disasters. According to Britannica, The Yangtze River starts at The Plateau of Tibet and it's mouth is at The East China Sea. It is the longest river in both China and Asia, and it is the 3rd longest river in the world. In 1954, the Yangtze River flooded catastrophically, killing all the lotuses in the area. Three years later, the water finally receded. Once normal water levels returned, the flowers began to grow again in the shallow parts of the river. The floods tore their root system, but their seeds survived. The seeds were scattered, and eventually lotus flowers grew again. Interestingly, even if lotuses hadn’t returned, they could come back centuries later. Their seeds can survive for thousands of years without water. (earth.com)
--Lotus flowers are also known to be resistant to pollution, and can even purify the water they grow in.
--The lotus has a unique daily life cycle of life, death, and rebirth. This has led to the phrase, “lotus flower of life”. That is why it’s meaning is often “rebirth”, and why the flower is frequently tied to spirituality. Some lotus flowers submerge at night, and rebloom each morning. While some bloom at night and close during the day.
So....what does all this have to do with God's Prophetic Word? His Prophetic Word is:
Holy
It Endures
It Purifies
It Brings Life
In Jesus's name.
