Germination
Seed to growth
9/8/2025
Working appropriately in the season is vital. If we don't plant in the spring, we will not harvest in the fall.
It is The Lord whom determines our seasons.
Daniel 2:21-22 (ESV)
21 He changes times and seasons;
he removes kings and sets up kings;
he gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to those who have understanding;
22 he reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what is in the darkness,
and the light dwells with him.
In the Book of Revelation, Chapters 1-3, God Sends letters to seven churches, providing Divine Assessment and Instruction for the Season He Determines they are in. For some time, The Lord has repeatedly Talked to me about the importance of prayer in The Church. That there is a necessity in this season, for The Body of Christ to be trained up in prayer. Teachings on different types of prayer, at a more basic level to lay a foundation. This is where He Wants to start.
Prayer of worship and intimacy (Psalm 63)
Prayer of confession, repentance, and consecration (Psalm 32)
Prayer of intercession (Exodus 32:11-14)
Prayer of supplication (Psalm 86)
Prayer of petition (2 Kings 19:14-19) (Acts 4:23-31)
Prayer of blessing (Numbers 6:22-27)
Prayer for healing and deliverance (Jeremiah 17:14-18)
Prayer of lament (Lamentations 5)
Praying Scripture
There are many more examples of these types of prayer in Scripture; and this list is not exhaustive. In this season, The Lord Wants His Church learning from Scripture first. This is the foundation for learning The Lord's Heart for prayer.
The Lord Said that from the pulpit, Pastors preaching The Word unapologetically and uncompromisingly "have been preparing seed. Germinating after a period of dormancy. We are resuming growth."
Germination is the process by which a seed, spore, or other reproductive body begins to grow, typically after a period of dormancy. A definition of dormant: temporarily in suspension or inactivity, yet capable of being activated.
From Britannica:
The seeds of many species do not germinate immediately after exposure to conditions generally favorable for plant growth, but require a “breaking” of dormancy....
Inhibitors of germination must be either leached away by water or the tissues containing them destroyed before germination can occur....
In many seeds the embryo cannot germinate even under suitable conditions until a certain period of time has lapsed....
Until it becomes nutritionally self-supporting, the seedling depends upon reserves provided by the parent...
Light affects both the orientation of the seedling and its form.
Application for The Church:
The seeds God is Planting in His Church, even in favorable conditions, take time to grow.
A catalyst that breaks dormancy is often needed.
Inhibitors of growth in The Church must be removed or destroyed before successful germination.
Even in favorable conditions, a period of time is necessary for germination to occur.
Early growth is fragile (whether it be new Christian or new teaching) and saints must draw from the reserves of The Church.
The Light Source affects the direction and form of the seedling.
The beginning growth is fragile. Prayer is the bedrock. Prayer prepares the soil. As the saints seek The Lord in prayer, we can pray and ask for courage, wisdom, boldness, faith, and revelation for ourselves, others, and The Church. The growth starts with prayer.
In Jesus's name.
