Dust

The Lord has been Talking to me lately about science catching up to Him. How science is matching Scripture.

I am not a geneticist. I am not an astrobiologist. I am not claiming to be an expert on any of these topics. I barely understand what I'm reading, to be honest. I am sharing with you, what The Lord Led me through.

The Lord Speaks to me in a variety of ways. Many saints hear "a small still voice". I hear that as well. Sometimes The Lord Speaks to me in very direct, concise statements that stand on their own. Sometimes He Gives visions. Sometimes He Gives me an information dump, like a package air-dropped into my spirit, where suddenly I know something new.

Sometimes He Leads me on a treasure hunt of revelation. This will often play out like this: He either Says a word to me... or a word is spoken in a video or I read a word... and I know to look it up. Then on that website page will be another word. And The Lord will highlight it and say "Look that up." And so on. What I am about to share happened like that. I do not claim to understand the complex science I am about to share. I am not endorsing everything in the links, I am not endorsing the sequence and timelines. I do not need science to confirm God. This is not something I would have ever looked up on my own, absent of God's Prompting. Also note, this science is not "settled", so even the experts do not have a full consensus on these complex topics. I am sharing these as revelations that The Lord Shared with me. He had to Give me some background knowledge in order for me to appreciate the actual final Revelation He was Showing.

According to NASA & MIT, primordial earth's surface was covered in mostly molten lava.(https://ntrs.nasa.gov/citations/19840013392 ... https://news.mit.edu/2025/geologists-discover-first-evidence-45-billion-year-old-proto-earth-1014). Volcanic gases being released from that lava eventually formed the earth's atmosphere. Once the atmosphere was formed, the earth was able to be shielded from the heat of the sun. As the earth cooled, it became covered in water. There are a few leading theories of how nitrogen base compounds were present on earth. The components that ultimately form RNA and DNA:

-- Primordial soup theory: In 1952 a scientific experiment was done where ammonia, methane and water vapor were exposed to electric current from simulated lightning. Carbon and nitrogen bonds are needed to make amino acids (the building blocks of protein), and nucleic acids (the building blocks of RNA and DNA). This experiment produced amino acids. Scientists considered this to prove that organic compounds can come from inorganic components. But recent discoveries show that the primordial earth's atmosphere was made up of slightly different chemicals. (Note the flash of light though!) • Genesis 1:1-5 (ESV) The Creation of the World 1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. 3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.

(In Genesis 1:1-5, God Creates light, and separates the darkness. And He does Call it Day and Night. But the sun and the moon are not Created until the fourth day. So this makes me wonder what this light was, exactly.) (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis%201%3A1-19&version=ESV)

All that was background for this: If God Formed Adam from dust, how do we explain the discovery of DNA? Well, where does science say that DNA came from? What was the first DNA? (this was actually the initial question that started all of this. I read a comment on YouTube about DNA, and The Lord Said "Where did the first DNA come from?" and this treasure hunt started.)

The first signs of life on primordial earth were thought to be from RNA (ribonucleic acid, a single strand genetic code carrier): RNA is a single-stranded biological polymer made up of building blocks called nucleotides. Nucleotide bases in RNA are adenine, cytosine, guanine and uracil ( A, C, G and U) strung together along a phosphate sugar backbone. And it’s the arranged order of these nucleotides that spell out the genetic code. Some scientists think that individual nucleotides may have formed spontaneously in the chaotic soup that was simmering on the primordial earth (refer to the 2 theories above), and eventually, these nucleotides bonded together to form RNA. Transition from a world of RNA to DNA: RNA is found in all living cells. "One of the primary challenges posed by the RNA world hypothesis is explaining the exact evolutionary pathway by which an RNA-based biological system transitioned to a DNA-based one. The study of modern viruses has provided significant insights into this transition. Researchers ... [recently] discovered potential evidence of this pathway while conducting a virological survey in a hot acidic lake in Lassen Volcanic National Park, California. (remember primordial earth was volcanic). They uncovered a simple DNA virus that had naturally acquired a gene from a completely unrelated RNA-based virus... Building on such mechanisms, virologist Luis P. Villarreal of UC Irvine, has suggested that viruses played a critical evolutionary role in the creation of DNA genomes." This ultimately points to the presence of primordial nitrogen bases and other components that formed nucleotides and ultimately RNA and DNA (possibly with a flash of light as the catalyst?).

• Genesis 2:5-7 5 When no bush of the field was yet in the land and no small plant of the field had yet sprung up—for the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the land, and there was no man to work the ground, 6 and a mist was going up from the land and was watering the whole face of the ground— 7 then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.

So in God's Creation of man, it is possible that God gathered these components to form human DNA in that process. God did not definitively Say this to me. Actually, He Gave me no definitive conclusion other than He seemed to be Showing me that science is showing that the building blocks of DNA were present on primordial earth. God Created living animals before man, and animals have DNA. Though animal and human DNA differ somewhat, all living organisms share the same basic building blocks (A, T, G, C).

The whole thought of this is exciting. In my child-like faith, I think I thought God just supernaturally Created man. Poof! Adam Existed! And God did supernaturally Create man. But the concept that He Gathered the components from earth and arranged them to form DNA & man just excites me in a new way. Even if these nitrogen components were gaseous; does "dust" insinuate airborne particles? The Hebrew word translated as dust in Genesis 2:7 is "apar". According to Logos Bible App, "apar" means: dust, loose earth, soil; rubble; clay; grave; world of the dead. So could "the dust of the ground" refer to DNA being Formed from components in the primordial chaos that had been lifeless; "the world of the dead"?

I've heard it said "If science and religion are both aiming to discover Truth, the gap between them should narrow." That is assuming the pursuits are genuine and not bias. I feel like The Lord is Showing me, through this and other revelations, that gap is narrowing.
